OO gets an airing

Some home improvements have meant that Eskalon hasn't been very easy to operate lately (unless i've wanted to move a dozen boxes out of the way!) However it did mean my boxed up OO scale railways were out of their usual hiding place so i took the opportunity to take a few photos. One day i may build another OO scale railway, so these locos may yet run again though they haven't run now for over 20 years!

Eskalon gets some cars

I plan to add a road crossing soon to the layout but wanted to get a few HO scale cars first to help me know what size "tarmac" i need to cut and so forth. So here we go: 3 cheap HO scale cars procured from eBay. The Shell petrol garage can actually have some customers now...

D13 passenger service

Its been awhile since i've posted any videos of operations, here is D13 taking (or growling its way with) the B Passenger service out of Eskalon station. The video is a bit shaky but it is a bit difficult holding an iPhone and driving a diesel locomotive at the same time!

Waggon 7

A new waggon has arrived, our 7th and 3rd open waggon. It will join the Eskalon departmental train.

Carriage works

Coach B is one of the original 2 coaches (and indeed stock) in the Eskalon project. It was removed from the layout when coach C arrived at Christmas but will soon return replacing coach A. It is undergoing a bit of a refurb and also i've taken the opportunity to add some passengers!
