Coach B is one of the original 2 coaches (and indeed stock) in the Eskalon project. It was removed from the layout when coach C arrived at Christmas but will soon return replacing coach A. It is undergoing a bit of a refurb and also i've taken the opportunity to add some passengers!

February update
February has been a bit of a quiet month on Eskalon though things have picked up in the last few days with Falcon being given some extended high speed runs. The problem our oldest serving locomotive had last year seems to have truly gone now touch wood (there is plenty strewn around the layout). A new waggon will be arriving early in March and i must make a start on the road crossing...

Running update
Eskalon is running fine and i think i've finally managed to fix the intermittent brown out on the points at Eskalon station. Here are a selection of photos from the latest operations.

Siding realignment
One of the sidings in (what will become the freight depot) has been lifted and relaid along a more sensible parallel alignment rather than as a spur. The new siding is a bit shorter but looks more sensible (and is still long enough for the push-pull passenger train). The space released will allow me to have a road behind the station. Its interesting how the ballast mat has "weathered" as shown by the line under the old track alignment.

Waggon restored
As you may remember my original waggon was out of service due to glue getting caught up in the coupling which meant the coupling did not move as the waggon itself moved around curves, causing derailments. I've finally got around to taking the couplings apart and finally "de-glueing" them. The waggon seems to run fine now with no mishaps so far! Its taken its place in Eskalon's departmental train.

A new coach
And for Christmas Eskalon gets a new coach. This will be paired with the Jam Sandwich and will take over the "B" passenger duties.
